TAQA Morocco is the largest private electricity producer in Morocco and a subsidiary of Abu Dhabi National Energy Company (TAQA). It plays a strategic role in covering nearly 40% of Morocco’s electricity demand, making it one of the country’s most critical contributors to energy independence and sustainable growth. The company’s electricity generation is crucial for meeting the demands of approximately 15 million people in Morocco.

In partnership with Tetrasys, Natija Live contributed to the TAQA Morocco Digital Transformation project, modernizing and securing its internal intranet ecosystem — including applications, servers, and mobile platforms.

TAQA Morocco needed a comprehensive solution to address three core issues:

Advanced Employee Mobile Apps: Delivered new intranet-connected mobile apps (iOS in Flutter and Android in Kotlin), boosting efficiency for field employees by 60%.
To support workforce well-being, we developed a custom intranet plugin: the Enterprise Wellness Management Plugin. This embedded application automates the tracking and measurement of employees’ mental and physical well-being while respecting the strictest medical security standards.
The plugin transforms confidential employee inputs into aggregated statistical insights, empowering the Company Doctor to make data-driven decisions that improve workplace conditions. It is a strategic HR tool, designed around privacy, scalability, and medical confidentiality.
Strict Confidentiality: Only the Company Doctor or a designated health professional can access the Wellness Dashboard. No identifying data is ever shared with managers or HR.
Data Integrity: Identifiers are hashed, data at rest is encrypted, and secure queries prevent leaks.
Role-Based Access: Dashboard access and reporting are strictly segmented to enforce medical privacy.
We designed the plugin around a simple, three-step process that ensures confidentiality and delivers actionable insights.
The process begins with the employee. We made their interaction as seamless and non-disruptive as possible.
Quick & Intuitive Interface: Employees perform private check-ins using simple emojis or icons, making the daily update take just a few seconds.
Intelligent & Gentle Reminders: A lightweight, non-intrusive pop-up appears at a scheduled time. Customizable reminders via PHP Cron Jobs encourage participation without causing “notification fatigue.”
All confidential employee inputs are securely processed and aggregated into an interactive dashboard, accessible only by the authorized Company Doctor.
At-a-Glance Organizational Health: The dashboard visualizes key KPIs (% happy, % stressed) and color-coded sentiment charts for a real-time overview.
Trend Analysis: The system tracks mood distribution and long-term trends, allowing the doctor to spot patterns week over week.
Confidential Employee Grid: For early intervention, the dashboard confidentially flags employees who have reported consecutive days of stress, without revealing this information to HR or managers.
The plugin transforms raw data into a proactive tool for preventing burnout and improving the work environment.
Automated Alerts for Early Intervention: The system automatically triggers a confidential alert to the Company Doctor if an employee’s self-reported stress exceeds a predefined threshold (e.g., 3 consecutive days).
Data-Driven Decisions: Armed with anonymized, aggregated data, the medical team can identify group-level stress factors and recommend strategic, organization-wide improvements.
Scheduled Reporting: Automated weekly wellness reports are generated and securely shared with authorized stakeholders to track and improve the overall health of the organization.
Backend: PHP with PDO for secure SQL queries.
Database: MySQL for reliable persistence and transactional integrity.
Frontend: JavaScript for interactivity, AJAX requests, and real-time UI.
